KORG VOLCA &GUITAR live AMBIENT LOUNGE CHILL JAM (volca keys,bass&beats)...
KORG VOLCA series & GUITAR - a live AMBIENT LOUNGE CHILL SESSION
with some other great synths (Nord Modular, Roland Juno 60, Doepfer MS
404, Waldorf Pulse & Microwave)
This time with a lot of Pad/string sounds and a relaxing video. This was
the last session before I had my accident, so its older than the "last
action rob" space jam. It's dedicated to a new born child in our family :-)
the sequence from 7:00 on was inspired by electronic music 13 and his
great sequence: http://youtu.be/Ksp-96gJa7I thanks for inspiration, Ted
I have described in the video (filmed with 4 cams), what Synths/pedals
are playing/muted. So you don't have to guess the different sounds.
Recorded without overdubs, Noise Reduction and Mastering in just one
take!
ENJOY LISTENING AND WATCHING and ask me if you have any questions:-)

Korg Volca Beats MIDI Out mod
Two days ago a good friend of mine added MIDI-Out to my Volca-Beats.
Too bad that I forgot taking pictures when the Volca was opened...
Next Time - when adding individual Audio-Outs - I surely will make photos.
The wires go thru the battery case of the Beats and the MIDI-Out-is housed in an old MIDI-Thru-Box (MT-5). This item routes in normal life 3 MIDI-Ins to 5 MIDI-Outs, but now the 5th Midi-Out is the Output of the Volca Beats!
If I connect the MIDI-Out of the Volca Beats with one of the MIDI-Ins, I have 4 Midi-Outs to sync to the Volca Beats. At the moment I only use it for the Boomerang III Looper, but in the future I will try it with my other Synths & Sequencers (Jomox Xbase 09, Analogue Solutions Europa, Roland Juno 60 with Midi, Waldorf Pulse I & Microwave I , Doepfer MS-404, Nord Modular Rack ....

Thanks to Marcbert for Soldering The MIDI-Out!

Korg Volca Keys, Bass and Beats on a Downtempo Psychodelic Space-Rock jam with guitar. The Bassline is taken from Led Zeppelin's Heartbreaker and Whole Lotta Love and played by the Volca Keys. I recorded without overdubs and mastering in one take. What you hear are only analog Korg synthesizers with analog effects and my electric guitar with additional effects.
Volca Keys signal right channel goes into the MFB-Filterbox and both channels at 1:36 into Hughes & Kettner Tube Rotosphere (Rotary FX).
Volca Bass signal gets into Behringer's Time Machine (analog delay). Volca Bass is used for the 1-bar chords.
At 1:53 the Neutron Filter is activated, a DIY Mu-Tron III Clone.

Korg Volca Series on a chill-out jazzy dub jam with guitar: SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE. Recorded without overdubs and mastering, just one take. I only used the analog Korg synthesizers with analog effects and electric guitar. It is my first guitar recording for about 10 years...
The right channel of the Volca Keys signal goes into MFB-Filterbox and both channels at 1:47 into Hughes & Kettner Tube Rotosphere (Rotary FX). The Volca Keys plays the bassline.
The Volca Bass signal gets into Behringer's Time Machine (analog delay). Volca Bass plays the chords.
The Volca Beats signal and my guitar (Godin LGX-SA) get straight into the Mixer (Behringer Xenyx 802)
SEND FX used for all instruments:
EHX Memory Man Deluxe Tap Delay into Danelectro Spring King (Spring Reverb) into Rocktron's Hypnotic Flange (for a soft Stereo FX).

Korg Volca KEYS, BASS &BEATS / ACID ROCK / Smoke on the water
My second video with the Volca Series from Korg.
This time performing classic Rock mixed with acid: Deep Purple's Smoke on the water VS Black Sabbath's Iron Man. I played those songs with distorted guitars in my younger years.
The Volca version was recorded live without overdubs and mastering. I only used the analog Korg synthesizers with additional analog effects.
The Volca Bass signal gets (at the end into Shockwave Distortion for more acidness) into the analog delay Behringer Time Machine.
The Volca Keys signal gets into Hughes & Kettner Tube Rotosphere, a cool tube driven rotary effect.
The Volca Beats signal gets straight into the Behringer Xenyx 802 Mixer
I used SEND FX for all instruments:
Electro Harmonics Memory Man Deluxe Tap Delay into the hybrid spring reverb Danelectro Spring King into Rocktron's Hypnotic Flange for a soft wide stereo effect.
I filmed with a Leica M 240 & Summilux-M 50mm /f1,4 ASPH @ f 2,5
and Canon EOS 5D MK III & EF135L / f 2.0 @ f 2,8.
The sound was recorded with the Canon EOS 5D straight from the mixer.

KORG Volca BEATS, Volca BASS & Volca KEYS recording just after unboxing
The first video I made with all the three Volcas.
After unboxing and a simple programming I recorded the track live without overdubs and mastering. I only used those little analog synths and only analog FX.
Volca Bass signal gets into Behringer's Time Machine (analog delay)
Volca Keys signal gets into Rocktron's Hypnotic Flange for a soft and wider stereo FX
Volca Beats signal gets straight into the Behringer Xenyx 802-Mixer
The video was filmed with Leica M 240 & Summilux-M 50mm /f1,4 ASPH @f 2.8
and Canon EOS 5D MK III & EF 17-40L / f 4.0 @ 40mm / f4.0
The sound was directly recorded with the Canon EOS 5D straight from the mixer
